Injuries in young soccer players occur primarily during matches, being up to 10 times more frequent than in training sessions. Mainly traumatic in nature, these injuries often involve the lower limbs and include muscle injuries, bone-tendon injuries, joint sprains, contusions, and fractures. Growing bones are elastic but less resistant, making avulsion fractures more common than muscle or ligament injuries.
