It’s a spring that will remain etched in the collective memory of the Emilia-Romagna capital: in the span of just a few weeks, Bologna has celebrated two achievements that rewrite the city’s sporting history. Bologna FC lifted the Coppa Italia after more than half a century, while Virtus Segafredo claimed the 17th league title in its illustrious history. Two triumphs, two symbols, one city in celebration — with Isokinetic by the side of both clubs as their medical partner.
Bologna wins the Coppa Italia after 51 years
On May 14, 2025, at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Bologna defeated Milan 1–0 to win the Coppa Italia — a trophy that had been missing since way back in 1974. The decisive goal came in the 76th minute, scored by Dan Ndoye, in a match played with heart, organization, and a true spirit of sacrifice.
Coach Vincenzo Italiano praised the “maturity and determination” of his players, who managed to overcome tough opponents throughout their journey to the final — including a dominant semifinal performance against Empoli (5–1 on aggregate). The victory also secures qualification for the next Europa League, bringing Bologna back to the forefront of European football.

Virtus Champions of Italy: Trophy Dedicated to Polonara
Just a few days after the football celebrations, Virtus Segafredo Bologna sealed the championship series against Germani Brescia with a convincing win (96–74 in Game 3), bringing the Italian title back to the city’s iconic Two Towers. It is the 17th league title in the club’s history, and the first under head coach Dusko Ivanovic, who took over midway through the season.
Toko Shengelia played a decisive role, earning Finals MVP honors thanks to his leadership, charisma, and experience. The title was dedicated to Achille Polonara, who has been battling illness but remained symbolically close to the team. The gesture moved the entire Italian sports community.
