On Wednesday, June 4th, we hosted our fourth Isokinetic Sports Medicine Night at our Harley Street clinic in London. Once again, the event was fully booked, bringing together professionals from across the London sports medicine community.
Focus on Neuromuscular Testing
The theme of the evening was Neuromuscular Testing after Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction. The presentations were educational and inspiring, highlighting important methods and practices in the field.
This time, we had the honour of welcoming Dr Paul Read as our guest speaker, alongside our own experts Matthew Buckthrope and Alessandro Compagnin. Alessandro shared insights from his PhD research on the current state of neuromuscular testing after ACL reconstruction. Dr Paul Read delivered a detailed analysis of force plate assessments and their clinical value, while Dr Matthew Buckthrope explored neuromotor profiling strategies and how to integrate them into return-to-sport planning.
Together, they provided a complete overview of how objective neuromuscular testing can support better decision-making and improve recovery outcomes for athletes.
An opportunity for exchange and in-depth discussion
The evening concluded with networking, food, and drinks, giving both speakers and attendees the opportunity to connect and share experiences.
