Dr. Stefano Respizzi, Medical Director of our Milan clinic in Piazza Gae Aulenti, is the author of a new book created together with journalist Nicoletta Carbone, in collaboration with the prestigious daily newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore.
A physiatrist and sports medicine physician, Dr. Respizzi has long been actively involved in scientific outreach. In addition to his clinical work at Isokinetic, he is a university lecturer and Editorial Director of MR – Giornale Italiano di Medicina Riabilitativa.

This volume takes an in-depth look at spinal health, highlighting the importance of relying on qualified professionals in the management of low back pain and of adopting a multidisciplinary and personalized approach. The book is intended for a general audience who wish to better understand the pain they experience in everyday life, in order to address it more effectively and, when possible, prevent it.
The topic is explored comprehensively throughout the manual, and its division into chapters allows for a clear examination of the different types of disorders across various patient profiles: it begins with pain in older adults and progresses to back pain in otherwise healthy young individuals, which may occur only after intense physical exertion.
In recent weeks, Respizzi has also taken part in interviews related to the topic of spinal health. In particular, an interview conducted by journalist Nicoletta Carbone is available on the Il Sole 24 Ore website, in which Dr. Respizzi answers a number of questions on the topic of “stress-related back pain.”
The book is available for purchase here.
