After thirteen years spent across some of Europe’s leading football capitals, sharing its cultural and scientific heritage, the Isokinetic Conference returns to Italy.
From 24 to 26 April 2027, the 34th edition of the Conference — one of the world’s leading international events in sports medicine — will take place at the prestigious Allianz MiCo in Milan under the theme “Reach the Top”: exploring the most effective strategies for achieving excellence in sports performance following an unexpected and traumatic event such as an injury.
For Isokinetic, founded in Bologna in 1987, returning to Milan and the Allianz MiCo feels like coming full circle while, at the same time, marking a new beginning. The last Italian edition of the Conference, organised in partnership with FIFAand now opening a new chapter through its collaboration with AC Milanwas held in Milan in 2014. Just like next April’s event, it took place at the Allianz MiCo. Over the past thirteen years, Isokinetic has travelled across Europe, bringing its scientific expertise to some of the most iconic cities in international football, including London, Barcelona, Madrid, Athens and Lyon. This journey has further established the Conference as a global point of reference for orthopaedics, rehabilitation and sports traumatology.
The Milan Conference will mark the culmination of a journey of growth and knowledge-sharing that, over the years, has established the Isokinetic Group as a leading reference point for the international sports medicine community.
Since 2009, Isokinetic’s sports injury and rehabilitation network has held the prestigious designation of FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence. With ten centres already operating in Italy and abroad, the Group has grown into much more than a network of state-of-the-art medical facilities: it has become a hub for sharing expertise, scientific rigour and clinical vision.

And that word, “our”, holds one of the keys to understanding the Conference. The aim of the three-day event in Milan goes far beyond celebrating past achievements. Indeed, the return to Italy is intended to provide fresh momentum for the entire Italian sports medicine community—a field that has made significant strides in recent years in terms of research, innovation and standards of care.
In this context, the choice of Milan and the collaboration with AC Milan – through MilanLab— the Club’s centre dedicated to research and development applied to health and performance—find a natural point of convergence in research, innovation and sports medicine.
Milan is a city with a strong international outlook, capable of attracting investment, talent, research and major scientific events. This global vocation aligns closely with Isokinetic’s international growth journey, which reached another milestone in 2023 with the opening of its campus at the Group’s headquarters in Bologna.
Within this dynamic environment, Isokinetic’s ties with Milan are both deep and well established, as demonstrated by the Group’s three centres already operating in the city.
Within this framework, AC Milan brings the expertise of MilanLab, whose work is already closely integrated with Isokinetic’s day-to-day activities. The collaboration between the two organisations is built on close cooperation with AC Milan’s medical staff, led by Stefano Mazzoni, AC Milan’s Chief Medical Officer and Director of MilanLab, and is reflected in shared clinical protocols designed to safeguard the health and performance of both male and female players.

The three-day event at Allianz MiCo will bring together the world’s leading experts in the field in Milan. Orthopaedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, physiotherapists, and strength and conditioning professionals will come together to discuss the latest challenges in rehabilitation, injury prevention, and recovery optimisation.
“Reach the Top”, as the Conference theme states, reflects a clear yet ambitious goal: to give the next generation of Italian professionals direct access to the highest levels of scientific knowledge worldwide, without having to leave Italy.
Milan thus once again welcomes the international sports medicine community, bringing together education, research, innovation and Italian sporting culture.
