The format consists of a series of meetings focused on key medico-scientific topics, conducted in an informal setting with the aim of building a stronger and more connected sports medicine community in Greece. This is made possible through the selection of topical subjects, the presence of highly experienced and authoritative speakers, and the enthusiastic response of an increasing number of professionals in the field, fostering dialogue among surgeons, physiotherapists, sports physicians and researchers. <\/p>\n\n

Hosting the event at Isokinetic Athens<\/a> were the clinic\u2019s Medical Director, Dr Kyriakos Tsapralis<\/a>, and Ioannis Kagkas, specialist in sports rehabilitation and performance. They are the driving forces behind these evenings and representatives of the expertise that Isokinetic<\/a>\u2014an international medical group and leader in sports medicine and orthopaedic rehabilitation\u2014has developed over nearly 40 years of experience across 10 clinics.<\/p>\n\n

The scientific contribution: focus on meniscal lesions<\/h2>\n\n

The programme followed a well-structured format, alternating scientific sessions with opportunities for direct interaction between speakers and participants. The evening opened with an informal welcome, allowing attendees to connect in a convivial atmosphere and encouraging early exchange and networking. <\/p>\n\n

Guest speaker Mr Andreas Piskopakis<\/strong>, an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery, delivered a high-quality and valuable contribution. Drawing on extensive experience in both clinical practice and research\u2014with particular focus on ligament reconstruction, joint replacement surgery and regenerative therapies\u2014and on international training across Italy, the United States and Europe, he provided an authoritative perspective. The focus of his lecture was \u201cMeniscal lesions: guidelines for appropriate therapeutic management.\u201d <\/p>\n\n

The scientific session represented the core of the event: presentations provided an in-depth analysis of the main meniscal pathologies, with particular attention to the most up-to-date therapeutic strategies. Significant emphasis was placed on both surgical options and conservative approaches, offering a comprehensive and integrated view of treatment and rehabilitation pathways. <\/p>\n\n

Discussion and networking<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The subsequent phase featured an interactive discussion, including a Q&A session that enabled participants to engage directly with specialists, explore clinical cases and deepen their understanding of key aspects of therapeutic management.<\/p>\n\n

The evening concluded with final remarks and further informal networking, providing a valuable opportunity to strengthen professional relationships and foster new prospects for growth in the field of sports medicine and orthopaedic rehabilitation.<\/p>\n\n

The event took place in the green room of the Isokinetic Centre in Athens, within the OAKA Olympic Tennis Stadium complex, and was aimed\u2014through a limited number of places\u2014at medical and physiotherapy students, as well as young professionals interested in sports medicine and orthopaedic rehabilitation.<\/p>\n\n
