Isokinetic and Virtus Bologna have announced the renewal of their three-year medical partnership, starting from the 2026/27 season. Our rehabilitation centre in Bologna will serve as Medical Partner of the Black V for the next three seasons: 2026/27, 2027/28 and 2028/29.

The press conference was attended by Davide Fazzini, Managing Director of Isokinetic Bologna, and Dr. Gianni Nanni, an Isokinetic physician and Sports Medicine specialist, representing Isokinetic. Virtus Bologna was represented by CEO Marco Comellini, Club Medical Director Diego Rizzo, Francesco Ferrari and Davide Casarin.

Davide Fazzini, Managing Director Isokinetic Bologna: “It is a pleasure for all of us to welcome you to the Green Room. Today, we are renewing a close working relationship between Isokinetic and Virtus that has lasted for more than 10 years, involving projects dedicated to both the youth teams and the first team, with a focus on science and research. This three-year renewal of our agreement comes after approximately 15 years of collaboration. We are delighted to be holding this press conference in the Green Room, which we consider something of a temple of exercise-based injury prevention. Here, athletes and individuals can gain a better understanding of how they move and, through this knowledge, learn how to avoid and prevent injuries. These are crucial factors because, for a sports club with so many athletes facing a demanding schedule of matches, injury prevention can make the difference between winning and losing.”

Marco Comellini, CEO of Virtus Bologna: “We are very pleased to be here today. Isokinetic has been supporting us as a partner for more than 10 years and is a centre of excellence in its field. Founded here in Bologna almost 40 years ago, it has established itself internationally as a leading model for treatment, prevention and performance. This commitment to innovation and to researching methods for improving the performance of both athletes and the general public is extremely important to us. At Virtus, we have to play 80 games in a single season, constantly travelling by plane across Italy and Europe. Injuries are an inevitable part of the game in such circumstances. Knowing that we can rely on an outstanding partner like Isokinetic to support our athletes throughout their recovery and help them return to 100% fitness is extremely important for Virtus. I am therefore delighted with this renewal and hope that our partnership will continue well beyond these 15 years of collaboration.”

Dr. Gianni Nanni, Isokinetic physician: “It is both a pleasure and a source of pride for us to continue this agreement and partnership. Over the many years we have worked together, I remember numerous important moments when, alongside Virtus Bologna’s team of doctors and physiotherapists, we tackled some particularly challenging medical issues. We achieved significant results thanks to the shared commitment and balanced cooperation between our two medical teams, which have always worked effectively together. Without this mutual understanding, it would have remained merely a technical partnership and would not have delivered the same results. It is a pleasure for us to work with you because you are a highly professional organisation, and we have always held you in great esteem. Our relationship represents real added value for us and is a source of great pride. We therefore hope to welcome you many times for preventive screenings and as rarely as possible for injury-related issues.”
