The Isokinetic Campus in Bologna, located at Via Casteldebole 8/10 and officially inaugurated in 2024 with the aim of becoming a hub for connection and knowledge-sharing within the medical and scientific community, once again opened its doors to the city and the local community with two events held on Monday, September 28 and Wednesday, September 30. The first brought together sports clubs, while the second was dedicated to lead physicians.

Monday, September 28: Sport, Prevention and the Value of Data
The first event was dedicated to sports clubs – 70 of which are affiliated with Isokinetic, with 500 participants in attendance – and provided an opportunity to connect with the organizations that work alongside athletes and sportspeople every day.
At the start of the evening, the following were recognized for their sporting achievements and results: Mezzolara, referee Gabriele Bettini, Active Beach Volley, One Tribe Ultimate, United Montefredente, Mac Fondenti, Alfio Pizzi, Bologna Student League and Fossolo 76.
Dopo le premiazioni iniziali, gli specialisti Isokinetic hanno proposto tre interventi dedicati ad altrettanti aspetti della prevenzione degli infortuni:
- The Cut ACL Study – “More Data, Fewer Injuries”
- “Every Test Counts: The Power of Prevention”
- “Nutritional Strategies: The First Line of Defense Against Injuries”
From scientific research to athlete assessment and the role of nutrition: different perspectives united by the common goal of gaining an ever deeper understanding of the factors that can contribute to injury prevention.
The evening culminated in the roundtable discussion “From Numbers to Decisions: The Power of Data”, focusing on how information collected in the field can be transformed into practical tools to guide the decisions of those who work with athletes every day.

Wednesday, September 30: Focus on Knee Injuries
The second event, on the other hand, was aimed at the medical community in the Bologna metropolitan area.
For the occasion, the Isokinetic Campus in Bologna became a hub for discussion and professional development focused on the latest trends in the treatment of knee injuries, with an emphasis on dialogue among healthcare professionals and the sharing of the latest clinical and rehabilitation experiences.
The evening focused on the mechanisms underlying knee injuries, the signs that may indicate an increased risk of injury, and the role of objective testing and diagnostic assessment in prevention. The role of general practitioners in the recovery process and in supporting a safe return to sport after injury was also explored.
The Bologna Campus: A 360-Degree Laboratory
The two events reaffirmed the Isokinetic Medical Group’s commitment to making the Bologna Campus not only a place dedicated to athlete recovery, but also an open space for education, research, discussion and the exchange of knowledge among the different professionals working in the fields of sport and healthcare.
