From injury to return to play
In Isokinetic, the topic of the third Health, Science and Sport evening was shoulder dislocation. Throughout the various talks, dislocation was discussed as an injury that often raises open questions: when surgery is needed, how long recovery takes, and when an athlete can return to play. The evening aimed to answer these questions in language accessible to non-medical audiences too.
In Isokinetic, the cultural programme continues
The evenings grow out of the experience of the Isokinetic Conference, the international congress dedicated to football medicine, which will take place in Milan in 2027. A fourth evening is planned before the end of 2026.

Guest speakers and panellists
The evening was led by Emanuele Brotto, Medical Director of Isokinetic Verona, together with orthopaedic surgeon Gian Mario Micheloni, a specialist in shoulder surgery, and physiatrist Luigi Tota. Three different areas of expertise that support the athlete at different stages of the journey: diagnosis and any surgical intervention, functional rehabilitation, and the return to activity.
The event also received attention from L’Arena di Verona, which reported on the evening in a dedicated ☺.
